Drag {Design} Drop {Tech} : Evolving Collaborations: Human-Human and Human-AI Dynamics
We hosted Divy Thakkar, Staff Program Manager from Google Research, for the second installment of ACM SIGCHI monthly talks in 2024. Divy delved into the power of AI for maternal health. The talk was super engaging and showed us how exciting the field of AI for sensitive design can be. We all got a lot to learn and think about.
Drag {Design} Drop {Tech} : Millions on the Move @ Uber
We kicked off the very first IIITB-SIGCHI event of 2024 with Mr. Aditya Kumar, Senior Product Manager at Uber. The talk was highly engaging and covered the entire spectrum of activities involved in launching a product at Uber. From conceptualizing product ideas to discussing finer UI/UX elements, the Q&A session saw enthusiastic participation from both faculty members and students alike.

Sneak peak into the last week’s Figmade for you workshop. We had an amazing time prototyping Instagram and developing the art of visual problem solving using Figma.

Drag {Design} Drop {Tech} : Methods Matter
As part of our drag {design} drop {tech} series, we had George Mathews, founder of Icarus Nova and Icarus Design, walking us through some of the ways in which service design works in the healthcare space across different less developed countries.
From exploring different opportunities and challenges for digital infusion in the medtech space to discussing how luxurious healthcare clinics are designed, we are certain that we all found the session really insightful!

Drag {Design} Drop {Tech} : Design Dialogue
We had an engaging panel discussion with Design and Research team including Amit Chowdhury, Satish Patil general manager of wearable and lot UX Samsung R&D Institute Bangalore, Biju Neyyan general manager voice UX Samsung R&D Institute Bangalore. The discussion with varied insights into the world of design professionals and their work was moderated by Professor Preeti Mudliar.
ACM SIGCHI Symposium for HCI and Friends
Our chapter members at ACM SIGCHI symposium for HCI and friends, at IDC IIT Bombay. Excited and full of beans for three days of talks, workshops, and networking. All the three students received a travel grant to attend the event along with complimentary SIGCHI memberships.
(Un)hooked Design Sprint
During the (Un)hooked Design series, we organized quick collaborative sessions to generate design ideas. In one of these sessions, we brainstormed the development of ATM systems specifically designed for children.
ADPList Community Night
On 28th August 2022 adplist.org hosted one of the largest design meet-ups and brought over 700+ folks in Product under one roof — wherein we got the opportunity to learn, interact and connect with folks from Product Design background
First meet-up – New beginnings and path ahead
At the introductory meet-up, we had human-human interaction about human-computer interaction. We had conversations about design and what each one of us meant by it. The answers were as inventive.
